Term of Condition
I, user of this Client Management System, have read, understood and agreed to the following:
I am a full-time student pursuing a two or more year university/college degree.
I understand that I MUST pay a Registration Fee of JA$2,500.00, and this is not refundable and not transferable.
I understand that I MUST pay my Non-Refundable Commitment Fee of US$450.00 Two (2) weeks after registration and this is not refundable or transferable under any circumstance (see refund policy sheets).
I have seen and read a STEEP International registration form with its cancellation and refund policy and agreed.
I understand that after I have paid my Programme Fee up to 25% of this amount is not refundable and 75% of the amount will be returned to me (Under the Jamaican Legislation).
*** However, we will refund the Programme Fee in its entirety if there was no processing of your documents, or if you only deposited to our Bank Account and absolutely nothing was done for you from STEEP International Limited.
I understand that my parent/guardian will need to sign this terms and conditions and attach a copy of a valid ID when submitting all documents to validate that they have also read and understood the terms and conditions & refund policies.
I understand and agree that if I submit any fraudulent documents to STEEP International Limited to obtain a DS2019 form my file will be handed over to the Fraud Squad for prosecution.
I understand that I should NOT register for a school in the first semester and then do NOT attend classes in my second semester, only to participate on the Programme, that too constitutes fraud.
I understand that I should NOT buy school ID, school transcript or school status letter to participate on the summer J1 Work and Travel Programme.
I understand that I am responsible for all travel, personal or incidental expenses related to the programme and otherwise.
I understand that this is a programme and I MUST purchase my airline ticket through STEEP International even if I am a self-placed applicant.
I understand that I must pay the airfare deposit of JA $20,000 before I am issued my DS2019 form.
This is FULLY refundable if I cancel from the programme or I am refused the Visa at the Embassy.
I understand that a pre-departure orientation is required for all Summer Work Travel Programme participants and I will attend.
Cancellations are required in writing explaining the cancellation.
STEEP reserves the right to share information about you, the applicant, to any related institutions we deem necessary should the need arise.
Refusal at the US Embassy requires a return of the DS-2019 form to the STEEP office immediately (no later than 24 hours).
I understand that a US Designated Sponsor is my Visa Sponsor, issues the DS-2019 form (work Permit) and is responsible for the programme operation and NOT STEEP International.
I understand that ALL J1 Applicants MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EVERY SATURDAY for 3-4 months in the Summer to participate on the programme.
I understand that the US Designated Sponsor reserves the right to close the programme at short notice or to cancel anyone from the programme if a situation arises where this is necessary or applicant violates programme rules.
I agree to behave ethically and responsibly while in the USA.
If I desire a change in my arrival date it will require a change in my DS-2019 form; if applicable, I will pay US $80 for the reprint of my DS2019 form and courier fee.
I understand that I must open a Jamaica National US Currency Account or provide a family member’s account to be refunded my programme fee should the need arise.
